Sandie Okoro, a British barrister and solicitor, was appointed Senior Vice-President and General Counsel for the World Bank Group in February 2017, joining from HSBC where she was Group General Counsel of Global Asset Management. Sandie has received numerous accolades and lifetime achievement awards in the United Kingdom for her career and volunteer efforts on diversity, women’s empowerment and leadership. In July 2017, Sandie was made an Honorary Bencher of Middle Temple.
